Before I left for vacation in late july, I weighed myself at 182, which is about where I normally am - I did lose around 30-35 pounds in the past few years, and the lowest ive gotten down to was 178...this is within range, and normal.

I go on vacation. I didn't feel like I ate a ton, and I went for one long hike(around 2-3 hours) and was walking a decent bit other days.

I come back from vacation, one day my friend made ribs and sides so I ate a shit ton of it, and then two days later I had some other friends over and crushed two large pizzas with them. Horrible, I know, but...

I actually felt like I gained weight. Like, my stomach seemed like it was bigger, and not just bloatedness or whatever.

I get on the scale and it reads 196! What the hell is this? I figure a lot of it is water weight/need to shit it out, but that is a gain of 14ish pounds in like 2 weeks.

So, the past two days i've been trying to eat less, and it's working. I got on the scale today and it said 185. So I didn't actually gain a ton of weight, but i've never seen weight fluctuations like that before, regardless of how much I eat or how much water I drink.

I'm going to eat less food for a few more days and see if I truly return to normal.

Are you consistently weighing yourself in the same manner in the morning, before eating, and without clothes?

Your body fat contribution to weight isn't going to change in any meaningful way that you can detect on the order of two days.

And if you give a damn, take me baby, or leave me.

I know part of it was I didn't weigh myself in the morning before I ate while naked every time. Today I did weigh myself in the morning after a pee and with just underwear on.

I generally try to weigh myself in the morning after I go to the bathroom with no/minimal clothes on, but even after eating, with clothes on, whatever, I've never been above 190 for any reason in a long time.

You do tend to weigh more in the evening. Shoes can also make a huge difference if you have something like steel toed boots.

My measurements are uneven but id never do it in shoes. I took a physical a month ago and they didnt ask me to take my shoes off. The nurse took off 2 pounds for the shoes. Kinda wanted a more accurate measurement myself but

Anyways today is day 3 in a row of eating around 2000 calories (important to note this sustained over a couple of months is how i lost 30 pounds initially) so we will see ass naked after a pee and shit tomorrow nornjng

weight gain isn't really about volume, it's about calories. some things that feel "heavy" when you eat them don't make you gain so much, because you feel full after. some other things that feel "light" when you eat them, and maybe digest a lot better, might actually make you gain more, since you can eat a lot of it.

this morning after a shit and pee and in just underwear: 183.8.

I think I've mostly returned to normal. That is within the range I've been at for nearly a year.
