Finally got to the trial in GAA1-5. Speculation:

I will be absolutely shocked if the person ultimately responsible for everything isnt Stronghart; despite being serious all the time he was giving off major Gant vibes from day one. Im also guessing that Susatos dad is not actually sick and he was just trying to get her out of the way. She probably knew about the Hound of the Baskervilles because she heard the story from Wilson, and surely his death is gonna tie into this case as well.

It was 7-7 at the end of the 1st quarter, but it looks like they're pulling away now.

I bought a 360 instead of a PS3 just for Vesperia. I ended up only playing for like an hour, bought a total of like three 360 games (the others were not exclusives) and then eventually bought a PS3 anyway

I almost did something like that. I bought a copy of the 360 version of ToV just in case I ever decided to get a 360. I never did. I bought ToV again when it came out on the Switch and played through that version.

yeah I held out on a 360 in the hope that Mass Effect and Vesperia would eventually come to other platforms and my patience paid off!

Basically all the 360 games I got ended up being multiplats, but I don't really regret my purchase. ME1 took quite a while to come to PS3, and from what I've heard the Definitive Edition of Vesperia is worse.

Getting a PS5 means a lot more money and a lot more effort if I don't want to pay scalper prices. That's definitely not happening since I'm on the borderline as is.

I don't think my computer is powerful enough to run the game. If I'm going to spend money to fix that, I might as well get a PS4.

I was always going to get Arise eventually but maybe with all this BUZZ I will move it up a bit on my priority list.

Harvest Nier Update - Day 1 (Actually it's like Day 7 if you include all farming but this is Day 1 of "pray for lunar tear" aka the final and most perilous step)

Full planted field (15 plants) - 0 Lunar Tears.

Darn, was really hoping the miracle would happen because today is really the last day I expect to spend most of my free gaming time over at F/GO instead of Nier and it would have been super nice if it all just took care of itself during that time.

Killmonger is probably my favorite single film MCU villain, so it was cool to see him get a dedicated story here.

My F/GO spreadsheet that tracks a bunch of things for me has always been a bit of a frankenstein monster that gains features/things I tack on to it as I think to myself "it might be cool to add this to it" but last night I discovered for myself the power of pivot tables in Excel and now it is a thing of magic and beauty.

Riding off that sense of childlike wonder (my emotions get really loopy when I'm tired) I checked on Nier to confirm a suspicion of mine on the time required for farming cycles and...

Harvest Nier - Day 2: 11 planted areas (I had to keep 4 Pink Flowers from before so they could wilt and give more seeds) - Success!!! Literally right in dead center of the field was a sole Lunar Tear they should have sent a poet.

Harvest Nier Day 2.5 Epilogue: Okay, so remember how I said I had to leave 4 spots alone to wilt for seeds? Well I harvested them last night and replanted back there and I just booted up Nier to actually play... and 3/4 of those spots are now also Lunar Tears lmfao

I finished re-watching the MGS2 cutscenes and started watching MGS3 last night.

I can see why Big Boss and Zero got confused about what The Boss's will is. All this "loyalty to the end" stuff sure is cryptic because she never really explains what her "mission" actually is...!

What a surreal episode that focused almost entirely on Coach Beard. This one didn't really feel like it fit in with the rest of the show.

So none of this came to pass... at least in this game. Stronghart didn't end up doing much of anything the whole game, but I still think there's a decent chance he's the series' big bad if the unresolved mysteries from this game continue into the next. The list of names from the music box seems like it could be a hit list given that at least two of the four people are dead (even if Kazuma's death is currently understood to be an accident).

I mostly liked the main cast except for van Zieks, who I'm pretty meh on... his design is good, but he's an asshole the whole game and only kinda has a face turn. Better than Nahyuta, but I don't know if he beats anyone else just from this game. Sholmes is great. I wasn't a big fan of the jury system; purely as a gameplay element it was fine, but as a story mechanism it made it really hard to suspend disbelief when literally five of the six "randomly selected" jurors in the last case are people we know (and in G1-4 a juror is literally the culprit!). Overall the game is probably at about the level of AAI1.
