Been in the ER since this morning with severe abdominal pain. Pain subsided mostly following vomiting. Just saw the doc and he thinks its my appendix. Going to get a contrast CT to confirm.

Anyone else have a similar experience and can speak to it?

I got my appendix taken out when I was 15. Had sharp pain for a full day before seeing someone about it; usually the pain is on the right side, I was told, but my pain felt more central.

I've had a handful of patients with sudden onset 10/10 sharp lower right abdominal pain

Every one turned out to be constipation

I had an emergency appendectomy roughly 4 years ago. Pooping for the next two weeks was scary because you don't want to strain whatsoever but other than that it was pretty chill.

I got mine taken out at 22. Didn't know I was having an appendicitis.
I had horrible aching back pain. Called ambulance. Pain resolved when they arrived. Thye laughed at me and said I should have drove myself. I went into hospital with them.
Pain came back.

Got an mri. Surgeon came to my room and said they had to start surgery in 15 mins. I called my mom, gf and no one picked up. Went into surgery 10 mins later.

Woke up 5 hours later after surgery ended to like 100 voice mails lol. Left the hospital that morning 7 hours after surgery. Had an itchy spot where appendectomy was done. That was it.

Where was your pain located? I feel like I'm going thru same thing. Right side of abs/waisted had sharp pains yesterday. Pain is gone but I feel discomfort in the area all day today.

In my back, which is uncommon. If you are experiencing an exacerbation of pain you should prob just go to er if you have insurance

Its almost directly to the right of my navel. It hurts a lot less since vomiting but still hurts when moving, putting pressure on it or even slightly when taking a deep breath.

Had mine out back in 2012. Had a constant dull pain in my side for about 2 days before heading to the emergency room on Halloween night.

Laparoscopic surgery is amazing, I was out of the hospital less than 24 hours later. Very minor pain while recovering, felt fine like a week later.

Had mine out in 06. Started my day feeling like I had to shit or fart. Couldn't pick up anything without hurting. The nausea didn't really hit til I was in the er. Enjoy your contrast enema!

Yes, I had mine removed. It decided to corkscrew and flip up and stick against the intestine. The surgeon didn't get a picture of it for me. :'( The scar isn't even that bad, and after 3 years I pretty much entirely stopped getting any phantom pain stuff there.

Yikes did you have to have the open surgery to get that out? Also you can get phantom pain from your appendix?!
