People say this all the time in the military and maybe it's just been my career but I haven't seen a whole lot of it, just people trying to get theirs usually and maybe if you're lucky it's not an outright toxic work environment. And my wife's experience has been even worse with the backstabbing, sudden no-notice layoffs, artificial shit like everyone being forced to write thank you notes to each other every week and then talk about how they did this as a positive thing.
