Darkseid is one of the influences behind Darth Vader. He's an iconic villain who was played to chilling perfection by Michael Ironside back in the 90s. Yet DC refuses to use him.

Meanwhile, Disney holds the Sonichu version of the character and they make him the main baddie in half a dozen movies. DC just really can't see the big picture. If it's not Batman or Harley Quinn, they don't give a shit. You can't world build because that would mean putting a focus on (gasp!) other characters.

Never mind the big central villain with a chilling persona, sick color scheme, and a legacy of several decades. Marvel shoveled out their gold-wrapped California Raisin first, so he'd just be seen as a knockoff if they tried to introduce him now.

This is why DC shouldn't hire former Hot Topic managers to be their writers.

Steppenwolf was a terrible idea. Like, Mandarin terrible.

Doomsday could be a entire movie and a looming danger, rather than a 10 minute inconvenience that was contained to an unpopulated island.

Also, he isnt Cyclops. Dont give him optic blasts

10 minute doomsday is a result of rushing to catch up to marvel it was dumb and everyone knew it was dumb but the executives demanded it.

A.) sympathetic
or
B.) goofy

villain, that they could have literally rendered Doomsday straight out of the comics and people would have ate it up.

Doosmday was used just fine. He's not a "main" villain type of character for a film since he's completely devoid of any real character. The issue was more about the CGI/design.

And not using Darkseid isn't WB's problem. There's a lot more to it than just that.
