At at a high enough speed wouldnt super speed be the same as teleportation?

My instinct is super speed. You could do some extremely fun stuff with teleport but I guess it depends on how fast you can teleport in succession vs how fast your super speed is. And whether you can teleport to places you haven't seen.

Superspeed sounds dangerous, I can barely walk with tripping over something and tripping over something at a 1000mph is gonna end up with some injuries.

Also, with teleportation, you could teleport into places housing cash and then teleport away.

I assume that super speed isn't just my running speed, but reaction speed and thought process as well.

Can I teleport into specific indoor areas and not die by going into a wall or something? Like inside a bank vault or inside a woman's locker room or inside a super star's mansion when he's out at work >_>

Depends on how either power works.

Super Speed without something like the speed force is going to cause a lot of friction. You would in theory ruin anything you're wearing just be moving to fast and potentially burn yourself.

Teleportation comes in a lot of ways. Am I traveling through another dimension really quick? Am I disintegrating myself and rebuilding myself where I want? How exhausting is it?

In the case of both being super basic without anything extra to tack on top (like speed force shenanigans) I say Teleportation.

With teleportation what's to stop you from teleporting into a wall or object?

Teleporting into a bank vault sounds great until your leg materializes where there's another object and now you're crippled and stuck in the vault.

Both of these powers would need secondary powers to mitigate potential negative side effects.

With teleportation, you might die if you mess up. With super speed, you'll definitely die. You mess up a turn or fail to watch where you're going and someone will have to clean you up with a mop.

Worse would be doing it in your sleep. What if you are having a dream and accidentally teleport into a Volcano?

And that's not even getting into having to know exactly where you're teleporting, and whether you can use a global frame of reference or have to account for the constant expansion of the universe moving everything.

If it's super speed on the level of the flash or quicksilver, I'm in. Not only can you get to places quickly, but you can also perceive and react to dangerous things long before they affect you.

Teleportation would be more practical, but imagine the super speed sex... Sure, you'd probably need to go at it in a pool full of KY Jelly to avoid setting her krotch on fire, but achieving enlightenment hasn't been known for being easy.

Superspeed doesn't really make much sense without a bunch of secondary powers to sustain it, and those secondary powers end up making you way more powerful than speed alone would.

You need the durability to handle moving that fast, regen for any wear and tear, the ability to hold and expend enough calories to use superspeed for a useful length of time, and some sort of power over inertia, momentum, and friction.

Well then, you would most likely kill yourself the first time you use it. But, the same could be said for teleportation.

If super speed is like the Flash and all your senses are hyper fast as well as your body, no contest. The ability to move and think at light speed trumps teleportation by a country mile.
