He's been lucky so far that nearly all his games are runaways, because his success rate on FJ has not been fantastic. He's gonna have to improve on that.

Shows how luck plays a factor. If that was a FJ that she knew and he didn't, it would've been a wrap

I was kind of surprised that two of them missed it. I thought it was pretty easy.

Now, granted, I'm hugely biased on that because I had pre-guessed Jaws when the category was revealed, but I feel like it would have been a pretty easy get even without that.

Matt's Coryat score of $31.4k might be the record for highest Coryat in a non-lock game.

This was just a nut's game all-around. He was literally 34/34 on his answers (including FJ). Had he missed the FJ and been 33/34 he could have lost to a 17/18 Ruth (who got FJ right).

He got screwed with getting the first DJ on the first clue and Ruth lucked in to being the one to find the DJ on the $400 clue.

The only thing I can hope is that Richards doesn't last too long before he steps down. Maybe we'll only get like 3 seasons out of him.

On a more positive note, I really enjoyed Joe Buck's stint as host. He made it pretty fun, and you could tell his sportscaster background was coming into play when he'd do things like list Matt's streak of runaway games.

I'm a Cardinals fan, so I was pretty familiar with him, but I'd never been too big a fan of his.

Joe Buck was my favorite Jeopardy guest host. I'm pretty sports mad so I'm well familiar with him (and even disliked him for a good stretch) but his rapport and ad-libs were as natural as could be and overall, he bought a "liveliness" to the role that most guest hosts lacked, presumably because they were overwhelmed. If he didn't make amazing money doing a day job that he clearly loves, he'd have been a shoo in as permanent host.

The latest game, I knew a couple of the $2,000 clues (Helen Frankenthaler and quadragenarian) that he didn't know, so that makes me feel pretty good lol
