Some people are judgmental and think im an absolute idiot for not really wanting to get married and have kids

The thing is. im not the type of guy that wants to be told what to do and I pretty much prefer to do whatever I want in my own terms without any permission from a wife or kids

Shoot I know people who have a wife and kids who cant even watch a boxing fight because of their family commitments. I can imagine myself getting bored being home all the time.

I'm divorced and engaged again because I'm dumb lol, otherwise I really am not interested in marriage. People get real nasty when they're done and I've no desire to revisit that.

As far as kids, I have less than zero interest in them and just don't see the point.

I tried getting married. It didn't work out. My ex fianc couldn't have kids anyway.

We did the foster parent thing and that was extremely fulfilling. Our foster kid moved out and has a daughter of her own now.

My dad wasn't the best father he could be and my mom left us to fend for our own when I was only 15. I would hate to pass my baggage to the next generation. I like to think that I've done good as a foster dad though.

I enjoy being alone. It's hard for some people to understand this and I guess I get it. Most people feel lonely at some point, including myself. But you can feel lonely around others too. If you want to get married it's fine so if you don't want to get married it should also be fine, or so one would think.

Children are awful. I don't think people should have children so easily. I would hope potential parents understand the massive responsibility of raising a child but it's clear many underestimate this and then you end up with problematic families. Like some people seem to think it's easy and get so upset when they find out.

I don't want anyone bothering me at home and expecting me to talk and do normal things. Then you have to run the kids here and there, attend their after school events, deal with the terrible 2's and teens, etc.

Fuck that. Few people take care of their parents anymore so I'd be in a nursing home at some point anyway.

For me it is simple, I just don't feel like I am good enough the way I am now. My pay is pathetic and the amount of qualificatioins I have is pathetic also.

Maybe when I get my A levels and my degree and then a great job, then I can try and get married and have kids.

I wouldn't mind getting married, or at least be in a long-term committed relationship. But I flip-flop on whether or not I want kids, especially with how the world is going now.

I actually really like kids & would love to be a father theoretically. But I've been burned one too many times & watched way too many relationships fall apart, so I have no interest in getting married.

Your math is off. I think it's closer to 25%, since it takes one person who isn't marriage material to ruin it for both.

To a certain extent, the jump to marriage-- and even moreso to kids-- is a leap of faith. You don't know what you're getting yourself into until you do it... and you shouldn't do it unless you're a flexible person and can find a flexible partner.

I want kids some day but I'm not into marriage.

I'm in my 30'sand most of my friends are married. 8/10 married men I've worked with and are friends with all cheated and still do. My friends all have cheated. My family including my mom are divorced and all have cheated at some point (about half my family)

The basic gist is marriage is commitment to work together for a happy marriage and I've rarely seen a happily long term relationship. I grew up I'm church also and the cheating is even more rampant there. I just don't believe in marriage and all of them seem forced to stay together from social pressure and kids.
