43 y/o Black High School Principal, James Whitfield from Texas said race was at the forefront of his bosses' decision to force him to remove his photos of him embracing and kissing his white wife on social media!!

He's the principal at Colleyville Heritage High School for 2 years and got an email from the district about a beachside photoshoot he took with his wife, Kerrie for their anniversary

He said "I look at the picture, and i look at the words above it and it says, is this the Dr. Whitfield we want leading our school? I showed it to my wife, who immediately begins to well up with tears"

He said the photos received complaints back then because it featured an interracial couple

He ended up removing them but went public with the story after a heated meeting with the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District and parents over race

Some parents accused him of pushing critical race theory and programs that ensured equality and diversity of which they say is harmful and is itself racist on white people

But he shot back and said "I am not the CRT Boogeyma. I am the first African American to assume the role of Principal at my current school. For the better part of last year, i've been told repetedly to just get around the fact that there are some racist pople and just deal with it and stay positive but i will not stay silent no longer"

The district did not address this meeting but to say they asked to remove it to provide a smooth transition and said some of the poses they shot were questionable as an educator and was too SEXUAL in nature.

He's received an astounding amount of support from the communitwy ith more than a 1000 signatures in support as he called it amazing and he is proud to have a beautiful wife and family that he is not ashamed of

While those pics are fine in general to put on social media for friends and family, should students be seeing their principal or teachers in sexually provocative positions?

If anything he should have had his shit on private and not allowed anyone from the school to get it if this is the kind of content that's on it. Hell I was on facebook for years and never saw a couple post near "sex on the beach" stuff.

The poses in some of the photos are a bit risque, but nothing that is too explicit for teens to see. lol at the snowflake racists refusing to accept reality and say that this evidence of his interracial relationship and his involvement with pro inclusive programs is "racist" against white people. No way, I disagree (saying this as a teacher). Its none of the kids business, (many) kids see much worse elsewhere online anyway, and the solution to rearing a child isnt to shelter them and hide all icky sexual topics, especially since these are high schoolers (obvious but need reiterating, perhaps: many people start having sex in high school!). Much better would be to have a conversation with the student(s) to discuss how people can express their love for one another in a respectful, healthy, and consenting manner.

I can't really tell what stance you're taking by that post.

I know if, as a student, I saw a teacher/principal on a non-private social media platform going in between someone's legs missionary style and kissing them I'd think of that teacher/principal in a different way. Schools today have enough trouble trying to keep students and teachers from fucking each other. This really isn't needed. Keep it private.

I'm not sure how much any of this has to do with race.

The side of: leave the principal alone, those pics werent that bad anyway and even if they were slightly worse, people need to mind their business and understand that school employees have full lives outside of school, just like you and I.

With that said, I understand your concern regarding teacher/student sexual assault, but I dont see the connection to that from this topic at hand. Rather, to try to draw a connection between the two seems misguided to me.

The connection I'm drawing is it could ignite something in the students for the school authority figure.

Imagine your frumpy yet somewhat attractive 12th grade English teacher suddenly posted public images of herself and lover scantily clad on the beach in provocative positions like sex was getting ready to go down. Not just holding hands with their partner while walking through daisies like most couples do on social media shoots. That wouldn't spark a little something? Like when you see her again, you wouldn't be thinking of those images and maybe wishing you were the other person?

I agree, people do need to mind their own business. It would be super easy to do if photoshoots like this with school authority figures remained out of sight of the general public.
