Trying to figure out the best methods to do this. My PC is only 6 months old but I didn't go hog wild with the RAM so this seems like a good solution to do streams with. I have all the PC side set up for streaming to reddit etc but wondering if anyone has streamed PS4 to PC so I can use the overlays and webcam.

The PS4 has decent built in streaming capabilities, but if you want to do OBS and whatnot, you are going to need a capture card, which will run you about $150. Most go for the El Gato, but Hauppauge is a good alternative for slightly cheaper.

And said capture card goes into the PC or PS itself? Is it an interface for the Ps4?

You can get a PCIE one that you plug into your motherboard, but sans an open slot for that, you can just opt for a stand-alone one. Gets the job done, but there might be a minor delay that you will have to account for in OBS. Easily done though

For the standalone, it goes HDMI from PS4 to Capture Card, then another HDMI from capture card to the TV. Then USB from Capture Card to PC. The OBS software is free, and you will run that from your computer to put your scene together.

Cool, yeah it seems like remote play isn't a good option for streaming; I use OBS a lot for my other streaming (music) so it's just another thing I'll have to set up
