This is not totally true. She had an advantage in fundraising, but her opponent had outside PACs delivering a lot of ad spending:

Name one leftist politician advocating for open borders.

And as far as I know, EU countries already spend more on social programs relative to policing, so defund the police movements arent necessary.

I never said a leftist politician was, I said it was a popular progressive talking point.

Not "unnecessary" but directly opposed to what they want. Europe tends to support increased police spending, not defunding of the police. That's my point.

Europe doesnt spend nearly as much on policing as America does, so DTP wouldnt make sense there. Thats my point.

European countries tend to be smaller, of course something like the UK isn't going to spend as much on policing as a country more than twice its size. In comparison to their GDP though, the UK spends relatively the same (just a tad bit lower than the US) on their policing.

It takes more money to implement programs to train police officers and add more divisions into the police organizations. There's a reason why most big cities who started doing the "defund the police" stuff, ended up 180ing.

If I remember correctly, U.S. police kill citizens something like 60x more often than UK police do.

No, Democrats and Republicans arent the same. But the establishment has the same goal; keep the status quo.

Democrats won the 2020 elections and wow, nothing radically changed or will likely happen because Pelosi/Schumer dont want to.

Things wont change until the establishment is gotten rid of and new blood is in charge.

This is dumb. People say lets take a more gradual approach and then nothing ever gets done. Wages have been stagnant for years. There was plenty of time to take a gradual approach.

It can be done. Weve seen it. With the pandemic our world changed overnight and we got by just fine. Jobs that before people said couldnt be done from home were done just fine.

We can change shit people just dont want to because theyre in a position of comfort. He was exactly right. Tell all the homeless people and people barely making rent lets take a gradual approach.

It is you who doesnt know what theyre talking about TC. We say lets not do anything to help poor people out of fear that people that are relatively well off may be slightly less wealthy. Honestly disgusting.
