Current Events > Anyone else go to a restaurant and not get charged for their food?

So I like going Subway to get their steak and cheese footlong for lunch sometimes. It's pretty tasty and healthy, and I won't regret eating it. Last time I went to the location by my job, the guy refused to charge me. I brought it up how he hadn't charged me, and he waved it off like it's one of those days. I decided to just hand him the money for it anyways and leave with my food. Not paying for it wouldn't be right, and that guy could lose his job. Later I realized he had given me extra cookies instead of just the one I asked. Similarly when I asked about the pro option in a previous visit he said I could get it for free. I refused. I remember he had charged me for a lesser priced sandwich before and refused to change it when I confronted him about it too. It seems like a pattern to me.

My intuition tells me that he might think I'm gay and may be trying to earn favor with for that reason. But I'm not, so it just makes me feel awkward and not want to go to that location.

When I eat at the restaurant where I work if one of the floor managers see me in there they will sign my bill and take care of it.

Hes getting paid an amount that anything less would be a crime. He doesnt care about corporate and you were probably the only customer all day who didnt cuss him out. I used to give free stuff out when I worked fast food, always to someone who didnt give me shit. Hes also probably applying for every non-food job in town.

Yeah, if you're a half decent customer fast food employees will probably give you freebies. It's a drop in the bucket to their employer so nobody gives a fuck.

Sure if I knew the people who worked there

One time though I was at a Chinese restaurant and a woman ran in squealing at the customers telling us all us all to leave. Which we did without paying.

Turns out she was the wife of the guy who ran the place and she worked in an office. She was doing a presentation and some of her images for the presentation were replaced with naked pics of her husband

Which she ended up showing to all her colleagues during a meeting

She was furious and blamed him, turned it into a screaming match and then kicked everyone out because she was so mad.
