Current Events > My mom has been in the hospital all day for a blood transfusion :(

Apparently she went in this morning at 10 and she's been there this entire time. According to her she's, just getting a blood transfusion for reasons I don't fully remember, but now I'm getting all worried and stuff.

I can't even go to sleep until she tells me she's all right :(

Im sure she will be fine. Shes in good hands. It really upsets me thinking about these things happening to my parents, but all you can do is make yourself available to help out however you can.

If it was scheduled, then it's unlikely you have anything to worry about.

It really bugs me because she have quite a few things going on with her that warrants her going in and out of hospitals very regularly. I'm always concerned about something bad happening.

She finally got back to me. She says her doctor scheduled it for her because her hemogoblin was low and she was at rsk of having a heart attack.

Edit: It fell so low because she have tumors.

that sucks, but it's better that she found out before something bad happened, and hopefully it's something that can be helped

If youre in town, maybe you can swing by and help out around the house in the coming days or give her a ride. Maybe grab some groceries or pick up a prescription.

The fact that shes taking her health seriously means that shes a fighter and youve got many years together, from my perspective.

She sounds like she'll alright tonight. Says that she'll be able to finally leave in about an hour and will be working on getting the tumors removed soon. I hope it's not much more serious than that.
It's at least nice seeing the support here.

As far as family members that I see in a regular basis go, she's really all I have. I try to do stuff like this for her when I have the time, but now I probably have to step it up.
