The Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 anime action-RPG series '.hack//G.U.' could be en route to the Nintendo Switch, based on a new rating in North America.

According to the ESRB, the four in one collection .hack//G.U. Last Recode has been given a 'Teen' rating for the hybrid system. It contains the following: Alcohol References, Fantasy Violence, Mild Blood, Mild Language and Suggestive Themes.

And here's the official ESRB rating summary:

"This is a collection of four role-playing games in which players assume the role of a participant in a fictional game called The World. From a third-person perspective, players explore towns and dungeons, interact with characters, and battle various enemies (e.g., monsters, human rivals, robots). Characters use swords, scythes, magic attacks, and guns to defeat enemies in melee combat. One cutscene depicts words written in blood on a hospital wall. Some female characters wear outfits that expose large amounts of cleavage; cutscenes also depict male characters ogling women's breasts and buttocks. Characters make several references to alcohol in the dialogue (e.g., ...[H]urry up with the booze; ...in order to fog their minds with drink; "...the legendary drunkard"; Liquor! More liquor!). The words b*tch and a*s appear in the game."

If this rating is accurate, it wouldn't be the first time a Bandai Namco game has been revealed via the ESRB. The same thing happened with Ni No Kuni II back in May, which eventually led to an official announcement.

It's literally in the article. 4 games. Yeah, the last one is more like a 3-4 hour several dungeon adventure but still.

I've never actually played Last Recode. I still don't have Quarantine. Definitely waiting for an IMOQ new release rather than paying hundreds for Quarantine. I did play Rebirth on the PS2, though. I only wanted to test it to make sure it worked, but it was so addicting that I beat the whole thing.

They said it's something they wanted to do, just waiting on Bamco to publish it, or someone else.

It's a Remake of a PS2 series. Switch will run it fine.

this is what I'm waiting for. I tried the first G.U (and the second way back in the day) and didn't like them at all.

Way back in 04-07 someone actually tried to make a fan mmo of the game. I remember playing it for like 30 minutes with my friends.

Not saying I played it for the difficulty though. All I'm saying is they took a game that was already easy and made it easier.

I played the first when it came out and hated it. Gave me Dark Cloud 1 vibes, which I also didn't like tbh, where I was just going through dungeons that were the same and fighting basic ass enemies just to get a smidge of story after an hour or two and then travel again.

It already has baby mode built it
don't know why they had to lower the original difficulty (which was pretty much just more grinding)
which was fun because it made it feel more like an MMO

Only played 1.5 of the games in the collection, but it was kinda fun, albeit easy. IIRC, a lot of the difficulty is removed just by levelling -- a lot of the enemies had fixed levels, so once you get to the highest part of the range, things are way simpler. Didn't they have a level cap of 50 per game? So you'd end up with 150 by the end?
