On the OP, if you are in fact as "straight" as you claim to be, my guess is that you would consider the men to be better looking because you don't go into as much detail when analyzing their looks as you would with a woman.

You look at a guy, you think "good looking/not good looking" and move on.

You look at a girl, and you have a 50 point inspection review to go over.
Face, hair, nails, smile, legs, butt, boobs, feet, etc.

I disagree, men act dumb in the presence of attractive women sometimes for sure but women fucking CUM when an attractive man is nearby, they literally can't contain themselves. Probably just because they have higher standards of beauty than us and so it's a much rarer occurrence
