It was a bait and switch. She legitimately got screwed over. I agree with your point that theyre not safe, though, and my local theater is almost always a ghost town. Still, you cant deny that she got lied to, so I side with her in this.

Friendly reminder that studio contract legalese and fiscal hijinks basically makes it so that almost every film technically loses money so as to hide from taxes and sucker people into signing profit sharing agreements that pay out nothing versus revenue sharing agreements.
