GRAPEVINE, Texas, July 28, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GameStop Corp. (NYSE: GME) (GameStop or the Company) today announced that the Company plans to rebrand EB Games in Canada. By the end of this year, EB Games Canadian locations and online store will assume the GameStop brand and name. This decision follows our receipt of feedback from our valued customers and stockholders.

I'm actually worried about this because I have a feeling they're going to use it to implement stuff like the PowerUp Rewards program and Gamestop's used game pricing up here.

Meh. Theyre basically the same anyway. Its not the same as when they did away with Funcoland and removed all pre-ps1 games.

Also, imagine using either in 2021.

Yeah, but they basically let EB operate as a separate company. We have a completely different rewards program here and the used game pricing and trade-in value programs operate completely differently here.

We had both in Colorado before Gamestop bought EB games. Its always basically been the same store.

I literally have Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut for PS5 paid off with games I paid a total of $30 for from Kijiji. It's $90+tax in Canada.
