I went back and played it waiting for Cyberpunk to fix their crap. I'm talking about the original. It still follows the same tropes and isn't rewriting the wheel in any way but compared to what else is out there as far far as open world games. The 2nd one i couldn't get into as much it's basically marketing. The first one is more standard story. The second one tries to be more woke or sjw or whatever. The 3rd one is just a mish mash of a lot of crap and doesn't really feel as good.. I wish these developers were more creative overall and would come up with something new instead of pandering to the bottom line.

I like all 3 personally.

Legion is a hell of a lot closer to Classic Assassins Creed and Splinter Cell, than anything else i can find nowadays, which is definitely fun.

I didn't like the first one, mostly because Aiden Pearce.

he's an edge lord, whose actions are responsible for everything bad that happened to him and his loved ones, but he blames others, and continues to do those same exact things.

the world also felt pretty basic, and outside of being able to complete some missions without having to enter an area by manipulating things by camera, I wasn't really impressed by the game at all.

IMO, Watch Dogs 2 was better than the first game in every capacity, but I haven't played Legion yet.

Yeah Aiden Pearce was lame. It was a fine enough GTA clone though.

I think WD2 was the best.

I didn't mind Legion but it definitely felt like a game with a really cool concept but didn't really think of a great way to tie it together.

Legion might be better with permadeath on.

I was actually a bit disapointed it was optional, i was fully prepared to enter my first True Permadeath game...

Though the fact that you can recruit basically everyone does mean its easy enough to circumvent permadeath as long as you dont forget to recruit people

And thats what i find most fun, recruiting people.

If you truly did like 2 (atleast in gameplay) then i feel you shuld atleast try Legion.

maybe one day, but I feel like I've hit peak open-world fatigue; I can no longer feel excited for, or interested in, open-world games right now.

Yeah Legion is definitely better with permadeath on. I can actually remember when some of the operatives died. It's easy enough to replace them.

Overall it's a game where it relies on the player to make it more fun. I barely ever used the construction drone. I found it much more fun to use operatives like the Spy.

Understandable

As a Ubisoft game you should get a more stable experience, with all content available too. I do hope you enjoy it by that point. Doing stealth runs reminds me so much of splinter cell...

Why cant they do another splinter cell?

I personally migrate more towards Spider Drone abuse, and Double Cloak mixed with disguise.

Although i do love the fact the robot exists, so i dont have to tear my hair out finding Scissorlifts.

I think all 3 games are so safe as far as what they are doing and trying to market. The original still has some of that old school quality to it though where the little things are done pretty well. The actual systems in the game there was actual thought that went into it. At least it feels that way playing it now compared to some other games I've played. It's still ubisoft and pretty streamlined.
