Wrong. Rudaralis has unique properties that allow it to flower in 24 hours of day light for a set period of time, completely different from how sativa or indica grows.

Technically you're right.

i dont like 100% indica or sativa, but in general i prefer indicas since i use weed to relax and calm down. 70/30 indica/sativa is about the sweet spot for me.

In places where marijuana is still illegal, the auto flower strain is known as the "Stealth" strain for it's ability to grow in almost any environment. I've seen actual PC computer cases be converted into a grow case (that blended in with any living room dcor) by using CFLs and computer fans to reduce the heat to the growing plants. There are a lot of things you can do with rudaralis that you cannot do with just Sativa or just indica. Rudaralis can transform a 3 month vegetation cycle followed by a 18 week flowering cycle (typical for strains like White Widow as it takes a long grow cycle for this plant to fully mature) into a 90 day one and done.

You're dismissing an amazing plant by painting it with the same brush that you paint hemp with.

Ruderalis is a wold strain, so growing it indoors would essentially mean its not even ruderalis anymore. It also has a very low thc content and not especially great yields. If you started your own company and sold exclusively pure ruderalis no one would buy it cause it'd be trash. Again it has value for the cbd, but its not even great for that relative to strains that have been engineered for it.

It's used for cossbreding new strains of the more well known categories. Its not a thing you can go buy at a dispensary and its not a thing that would be worth growing for retail purposes.

You don't seem to realize that autoflowering bud is not exclusive to ruderalis. That is its one great property. Which is why thats been bred into indica and sativas and hybrids.

It's value is for the autoflowering... and now there are numerous strains of bud which have had those properties bred into them.

The question was "which is the best". In this situation, I gave my response. My buddy lived in Ontario for years. Weed was always available and not that much more than here. But when someone came out with some quads or triple a bc bud it went for a massive premium. Why would that be? Hmmm?

I got into weed late, once I could do it legally really. I smoked as a kid every once in a while but was never really into it. Now I use edibles several time a week to help me relax and the high feels good when I want that but I'm still confused on the strains a little.

Question - I buy edibles that are mostly indica because I use it to mostly zone out and end the day. I have tried hybrids and both strains and feel like there is a definite difference but was talking to someone that told me otherwise and said that the strain doesn't matter for edibles. Is that true? Is it just advertising and placebo or does the strain make a difference with edibles?

My question too. I've only had hybrid edibles, and I'm curious how it might differ from the other 2.

Don't take this as gospel but my understanding from people who work in the industry is that in large scale production there's not really a lot of effort made into separating trimmings so when you're getting edibles they're generally going to be a mix of both regardless of what the packaging claims.

You're right, don't take this as anything but pure fiction. Professional growers use massive harvesting/trimming machines to cut up their bud for drying. I'm sorry but unless you live in someplace like Mexico or Canada, I assure you that your bud isn't being picked up on the floor and used in your edibles.

in fact, you'll notice the difference more if you use indica because of it's "couch-locky" nature of making you feel impaired. On the flip side, Sativa gives you an energetic "head high' that tends to fade without actually affecting much of the rest of your body (muscles, joints, etc)

Now as your body metabolizes the THC and breaks it down to lesser compounds you'll metabolize that cannabinoids slightly different than you would if you were smoking it. You'll not get a definitive "oh hey, yeah, I just got high" like a switch was flipped on, no. Instead, it will "creep" up on you. The fact that it "creeps" makes it hard to distinguish if you're getting a body or a head high, but if you take ENOUGH of the concentrate (100mgs is plenty, but in my state, the most you can get in a single edible is 50mg unless you have a medical card) so you might have to double up to actually *feel* anything substantial.

ALSO: Keep in mind that eating cannabis is more for people that cannot handle the intensity of smoking or vaping pot. People that have serious raspatory issues, for instance, would benefit from eating cannabis more than they would from smoking it, despite the fact that smoking THC is quicker acting, causing more damage to the lungs for the person who's susceptible to it.
