Current Events > Ugh dog almost died yesterday.

Long story short, dog went into my office while were in the living room, and ate aluminum foil out of the garbage. Like a sandwich wrap worth.

We didnt know he got it right away, but the problems started soon after.

within 30 minutes or so, he started projectile vomiting, became incontinent, and couldnt hold his own head up.

we legit thought he was going to die on our kitchen floor.

had to drive him like 4 cities over to finally find a vet that would take him in. (Closer ones were full)

I dont even remember the last time I ate in my office, had no idea it was even in there. I feel horrible.

Hes doing alright today, but wish I could have stayed home to keep an eye on him. Boss said Id lose my job if I did

I hope hes olay TC. I know if that happened to my dog I'd lose my shit.. hell, I probably would have gotten fired because if my boss said that ti me in that situation, I would have told him where to shove it.

Is anyone else home with him to watch him?

You really should've had your wife taken that better paying job. Could've stayed home. Very doubtful in whatever new job you got you'd have a worse boss.

Ive been looking for a new job for about 6 weeks already. I do wish I could quit now, but really need to get something else lined up first.

but yeah this was definitely the nail in the coffin. I look at my pets like family.

He's an armed guard in the court system...his boss probably was kicked out of jail because too many people were 'falling down stairs'

unfortunately were contracted, and thats where a lot of the issues stem from. The company I work for is being bought out, so they arent hiring any more new people. But they dont have enough guards to properly staff their sites currently

Yeah, definitely leave that ASAP. Sounds like they're not managing things effectively.
