By old I mean early 90s, before those terms were really even a thing.

Lots of "women only like handsome jerks", pretty much anytime Dilbert goes on a date.

In the 90s, fine, but as of 2016 it's totally Donald Trump though.

There are a lot of things which make more sense with the benefit of hindsight. In the 1990s, we had movies, TV shows, and comics. In the 2020s, when everything is brought beneath the microscope, you see where things stand or stood as it relates to the political spectrum.

Captain Planet, Star Trek, and The Simpsons were liberal. Walker: Texas Ranger, Rambo, and WWF Monday Night Raw were conservative. etc. Or maybe I was a kid and too young to think about sociopolitical implications. *shrugs*

"Nice guys finish last" existed long before the internet.

But it has gotten really Fox Newsish lately.

I like this one

Ah, yes. The medical "vending machines" are costing people jobs. How dare patients have medications nearby?

How exactly do medical boxes cost people jobs? Are they replacing the errant nurse who stands around all day holding medications?

I think it's making fun of businesses being evil

1. Provide benefit with a doctor
2. Cheapen the benefit with a less qualified cheaper medical personnel
3. Cheapen the benefit AND charge the employees for using medicine
4. Try to make money off employees from what used to be a benefit

Exactly. Not sure how anyone could interpret otherwise lol

But the vending machine occupies a role which cannot feasibly go to a human being. It's a good precaution for hospitals and long term care facilities to have backup boxes of medication. It's not realistic to have a nurse whose job it is to stand around all day holding boxes of pills.
