If I'm not too far away from where it belongs, yes. If I am, then no.

Yes, and screw those jerks who throw any items where they don't belong.

A customer once put a Wiimote in the fridge.

As a cashier I want people in my store to hand them back to me at the register. Some people hide them in the racks in front of the register. Some people hide items in different aisles, so we have to take them and return them. Recently there was a half-eaten apple left on the shelves in the bakery section (opposite side of the store). People leave ice cream out on the warm shelves to leave for melting.

The stores in my city are so packed with fast-moving people that I basically feel like Im being chased through the aisles from the moment I go in. If I need to put something back, theres almost a guarantee that Im just putting it wherever I am.

If something needs to be refrigerated, I make sure to put it back.

I don't think I've ever picked something up at the grocery store, walked away, and then decided I don't want it. If I'm debating something it all takes place right there. I don't understand people who do this either.

You might want to avoid taking anything from a supermarket ever.

I try to unless I forget where I got it. My grocery store is always rearranging shit and it's hard to find anything. Like no one can agree what should go in the same aisle.

99% of the time what goes in my cart goes to the register.

With frozen food, yes. With non frozen items, if Im far away, no. Grocery stores do have employees whose job it is is to deal with misplaced items so dont lose sleep over it.

It's not our job, it's extra work on top of our job -_- And if you get multiple customers who have that same toddler mentality that you do, we get mountains of stuff we have to put back or have to send to claims because it's ruined. Which either takes time out of our day where we could be doing something useful, or comes out of our bonus because it's extra shrinkage that could've been prevented if customers weren't lazy, indecisive bastards.

Yes, I'm mad.

If it is a perishable item,, i will.. otherwise he'll nah

It's the entry level dude's job to do it. "Go backs"

Grocery bagger was one of my first jobs as a teen and I didn't mind doing go backs at all or going out to get all the carts, it was away from customers and peaceful. I got that cardio on

For the most part yah. If Im in line Ill hand it to the person at the register. Every so often the kids will grab something and by the time I realize Ill have no idea where it goes and Ill just put it wherever is closest.

I kinda liked Go backs.

Of course, I was doing it essentially unsupervised in a bigass Sam's Club.

Always. When I was 16, I worked at a grocery store, so I know how aggravating that can be. Along with people putting carts anywhere except the return areas.

This. The lazy assholes could at the very least bring the stuff with them to the register and tell the cashier they changed their mind about it instead of leaving random shit all over the place <_<
