this agoraphobic loser cries about wanting to see landmarks, so he gives you the most mindblowingly poorly programmed kodak camera that shoots invisible bullets and counts as a fucking gun, then your big reward is- surprise surprise, it doesn't get unflagged as a quest item, or removed from your inventory, and no longer has any function or purpose for existing. this shouldn't have even been a quest that was considered to be in the final product for even a second

NV does have a major problem with defunct quest items getting stuck in your inventory. It's a real pain to have to scroll through the Misc. category by the endgame.

But it must be said that Fallout 4 upped the ante by not only making it so that all keys in the game are permanently stuck in your inventory, but also removing the separate category for them so that they all clog up the Misc. category. Somebody needs a good swift kick in the pants for that particular design choice.

It should also be mentioned that the most popular keyring mod for Fallout 4 got completely broken by the Nuka-World addon, causing the mod to become abandoned (and to my knowledge, no worthy replacement mod has appeared since). Bethesda really had it in for keyrings with that game.

it's such a good keyring in fact, that it can store access codes and whatnot, lol

My favorite forever inventory item in New Vegas is the Disassembled weapons shipment which are only relevant for a path in a quest I never take, and are just sitting there for you.

There's a bunch of sticky notes on each key.

I can't think of a comparable thing in Fallout but having to carry the Elder Scrolls in Skyrim is horseshit.

Heavy as fuck and trapped in your backpack.
