Current Events > Quick question about the D&D set for MTG

How do those Mazes/Dungeons work? Havent had the chance to read them yet.

Whenever a card ventures into the dungeon and you're not already in one, you pick one and go into the first room or whatever at the top of the card. When you venture again you work your way down kinda like saga's only you have a choice at that point. After you've completed a dungeon you can go back into the same one if you venture again, or pick another.

Everyone is excited for this deck but I never knew that MTG and DnD were integrated I thought they were separate universes (Marvel vs DC)

Back when Adventures in the Forgotten Realms was announced they were still separated iirc. Now there's an official DnD adventure that apparently features a Planeswalker from Ravnica who ended up in the Forgotten Realms somehow. MaRo's on record saying otherwise, so I don't know what to believe anymore.

Is there a Demogorgon card?

Sadly no. I think Stranger Things is confirmed as one of the UB things so they're saving the name for the monster from the show instead, but there is this:

I'm super disappointed that Bahamut's not only a PW but he's in a human disguise. I also don't like that there are Planeswalkers in the set at all, and that there are a nonzero amount of OC's when DnD has a metric shitton of characters they could've used instead. Also I wasn't talking about the Ravnica sourcebook, but the new Adventure(s?) they published earlier this month on their website.

Honestly went in not expecting much, and I was impressed. It's an extremely fun limited experience at the very least.

I'm enjoying it. I like the dungeon mechanic so I've been working on a WUG deck on Arena that focuses on it. It's a fun deck to play, even if it's not super strong.

Yeah, once I unlock a few more packs Ill start making one or two. I need to see what will work well with my Historic decks.

Adventures in the Forgotten Realms is a physical set yeah. It's replacing what would've been the Core Set this year afaik. There's also the Forgotten Realms Commander decks if you're interested in that, which features more DnD cards(and different dice rolling) that aren't going to be in Arena or Standard.
