I've seen a lot of people bash Lily as the worst but Ted is awful.

He tortures Robin constantly, he gets mad at Barney for sleeping with Robin, then when they are about to get married Constantly talks about how he still loves her up until their wedding day. The show is constantly written for his friends to tell him how great he is despite him constantly fucking them over or just being a huge baby around them.

He cheats on Victoria with Robin, gets back with her later, then dumps her because Victoria doesn't want him to be friends with Robin. He complains about how Barney lives but lives exactly like Barney. He's worse than Barney because Barney actively grows and constantly does things to improve their lives for the better. Then, he meets the wife and she dies then once again he goes to force Robin to settle into HIS life.

Just watching this show as I'm older makes me realize how toxic of a person he is.

you also have to remember Ted is telling this to his kids so of course everyone thinks he's awesome

****, Victoria leaves her fianc at the altar for Ted. And he's still too in love with Robin, a woman who clearly wants nothing to do with him romantically, that he can't sacrifice the one thing Victoria actually needs him to sacrifice.

Every one in the main cast is terrible. The most decent one is best boy Marshall.

I actually disagree. I think the rest of them are all relatively well written and extremely relatable. I mean they are all kinda sitcomish but you cant still relate to the problems they struggle.

The only people i can see relating to ted are "nice guys"

I know, but when you think about that its even more awful because he's cant even spin the issue when telling the story. So if he is biased in his telling of events then how much more awful was it really.

Exactly. Also I don't think it's a great show, just to clarify. I prefer other sitcoms.

HIMYM was always overrated

I'm pretty sure that if it weren't for NPH the show never would have become popular
I feel the same way about The Office and Steve Carrell
