Order all cops to not shoot unless their or someone elses life is in danger, I dont know if this would make cops shoot more people or if it would lower the amount of people shot, im thinking no one else would be shot in the back when running from cops because cops would not be allowed to shoot unless its a life threatening situation, running from cops is life threatening to no one

Nah

Less criminals, less idiots who resist, nd less morons who do quick sudden movements would definitely work things out in their favor, though.

Remove Qualified Immunity
Make any costs come from the police department/police retirement funds when paying people after
Loss of a job means permanent inability to work in law enforcement in any capacity
Hold those at the top accountable for any systemic actions going on in their department
Camera's on at all times. Any time they are turned off must be logged and explained, and insufficient reason results in disciplinary action.
Public records of any disciplinary actions anyone can look up at any time of police officers
Probably some more things.

the only way you'll cut down on cop shootings is if you get guns out of the hands of the general populace, because until then every situation will be treated like an armed standoff from the wild west.

I mean cops here do a lot of shitty stuff but they don't shoot people anywhere near as often as the us and we have guns too.

Also you'll never get rid of unregistered guns so cops will always be able to claim they had to act as if a weapon was present anyways.

The problem is the cops, saying its all because of guns is unreasonable.

The only thing that will ever cut down on police shootings is if cops are actually held accountable for their actions.

The reason they kill people so often is because they know there isn't gonna be any consequences expect maybe a paid vacation.
