Are you planning to settle down where you're at long-term?

I dont really make any long-term plans since life is fundamentally meaningless and any attempts to convince myself otherwise have proven futile. But to answer your question, I have no reason to move afaik, but you know how short job tenures can be in tech (Im in tech).

In my experience, it's cheaper than renting. Plus, you can even rent it out and have the renters pay the mortgage. Are you planning to cash it or loan it?

I dont have $700k on me atm so I will loan it as you say. Also I will be living in the house so I wont be renting it to anyone.
imho it HAS to be a better financial decision in the long run if only because of appreciation imho

Sounds like a plan. Yes, in the long run, you'll literally have a paid-off investment.

Some say that a paid-off house is the ultimate form of unemployment insurance.
