Why are you being forced off?

Because apparently people above me get in trouble if I lose leave days for having too many and I haven't taken a serious amount of time off in like two years because there was no reason to. It's a dumb system imo, let the individual choose and if they realize they'll lose time then let it be on them.

w/e.

Should note I live near DC so I've seen a lot of that already and Baltimore and NYC. Not a lot... south though actually.

You should be allowed to stock pile "Days-Off" indefinitely IMO.

thats why more companies should let you cash out PTO.

I know why most dont but still. At my work we can accrue up to 120 hours starting out with another 40 coming at the 2, 4, 6 mark. Which is insane imo. We can also cash out PTO for anything over 40 hours left if we want to.

Only reason not to run a business that way is to try and screw people out of their PTO tbh.

lol if I did this I would probably be able to just ride out my final year of retirement.

I'd also be OK just transferring them to someone which is what civilians can do I think.

Yeah the only time we can cash out is reenlisting or retiring. Otherwise you're stuck with it and anything over 60 goes away.

Charleston is a lot of fun, especially the aircraft carrier still moored there. Plus us CEmen in Georgia would be happy to show you around Atlanta!

ahhhh I know exactly what you mean now. Ya I dont see that changing anytime soon.

Do officers run one the same PTO? I would guess so but then again they might get more cushion with it.

Yeah everyone gets a blanket 30 days per year. Used to be you could save up to 75, then they reduced it to 60 a few years ago. I think there are exceptions like if you're deployed for a year and can't use your leave, you can save it for a bit of extra time.

At my job you can only stock 250 hours. After that they start being dumped. Which is super lame. A co worker of mine has 230 hours. So he about to take a long vacation before he starts losing them hours.

Went to college in Bawlmore but Georgia has been home! North Carolina has some amazing beaches especially the Outer Banks if you are looking for a place where you can build a fire on the beach.
