I like the pros and cons of both. Just one or the other is pretty limiting.....

It's a balancing act between simple stinginess and First-sale Doctrine.
Whatever's cheaper, with physical being a bit favored

  • When a game is $60 digital or $60 physical, physical wins.
  • When a game is $5 digital or $20 physical, digital wins.
  • When a game is $10 digital or $20 physical, hmmm... Probably still buying physical.

Im pretty much exclusively digital. Rather just click what game I want to play, than mess around with discs.

But it is weird that youre just buying a license to play, which can be revoked, and has no resale.

I'm about 70-80% digital now. I greatly prefer the convenience of digital. Especially since video game boxes don't contain manuals anymore. Used to love seeing the artwork in manuals. Sometimes I buy physical if it's cheaper. I absolutely love collectors editions of games I like or think look cool though. Like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Collector's edition.

I buy physical unless the game is only available digital

i will make an exception for some of those limited run games releases of previously digital-only gamesthose are usually overpriced and unnecessary imo and Ill go with the digital version

Genuinely prefer physical but digital is far more practical for me nowadays.

The only difference between heroin and Gamefaqs is that there's a period of time where you enjoy being on heroin.

When im actively playing the game then digital, just being installed with no worries of the disc being inside or the quality of the disc, is more practical. When im not then having a case and cd is better.

Price is always the biggest deciding factor. As of now, there being a single digital store on consoles, means theres little competition while theres many games full price on psn that go for 20 or cheaper in stores.

I dont understand why you would limit yourself to one or the other though.
