This is kinda fun but doesn't seem like a big challenge. Do I ever have to fight a boss? I just got done with the sewers after Toad Town.

yeah, the boss fights are some of the best parts. they work a little differently than normal battles though.

Its a good game but the battles were brain dead easy and ultimately pointless

You'll know when you get to a boss fight, the battle system is completely different and also the best part of the game imo.

I thought the game was great except for the battle system. Got bored with fighting enemies because I just didn't feel like solving puzzles.

After about 10 hours, the boss fights were all I liked. Regular combat got old and god I hate the inane dialogue. I quit halfway.
