Pizza and the Hamburgers were my favorites personally. The two times I found what looked like cat teeth in the burgers didnt diminish my love for those burgers either.

I hated 95% of school lunch to the point the smell of the cafeteria could make me gag. Hated chicken nuggets, Bosco sticks, hotdogs day, pizza day (there were two kinds, rectangles and 'bosco pizza' which had a cheese filled crust, both were agonizingly disgusting), etc

Then I transferred to a boarding school on a uni campus with a 10/10 dining hall lol

besides the pizzas, the chicken & cheese sandwiches they sometimes had.

Chicken nuggets were 100% guaranteed to have at least one with one of those hard gray masses embedded that you couldn't chew

My school lunch was very similar.

We had stuffed crust pizza and it was pretty legit, despite the cheesy dough never really baking quite right.

I remember those chunks of bone in the school burger.

That pizza sadly. They also had a Mexican version sometimes that was good.

The turkey gravy and hamburgers at my school were fucking awful shit. Though the picture you used actually looks a bit worse.

these were the shit back when I was in elementary school. These, hamburgers and cheese bread sticks were what I looked forward to the most as they were all consistently good.

Chicken burgers.

My high school cafe had these burgers that tasted better than any fast food chicken burger even better than McDonald's. Sold them for $4 each to they were delicious.

we had pizza as a daily item with 3 pepperonis on it. I would drown it in that super vinegary school ketchup and it was divine.

I liked the chicken patty sandwiches.

Chili crispitos with an amazing nacho cheese sauce comes to mind.

prob just the pizza and mozzy sticks and chicken nuggs

tho in my case the only pizza we had was from "Anthony's Pizza" lol.

I mean I've only been in like 4 elementary schools in my whole life... But yeah my kindergarten didnt have one, nor did my grade 1 and 2 school, or my grade 3-8 school

Only two lunches the school had that ever looked appetizing:

waffle and ham
holiday lunch (turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing)

everything else looked disgusting , even as a kid with no taste.

does 'pizza day' from pizza hut count? school system in my area apparently had a contract with them, so every Tuesday or Thursday they sold pizza from the hut. far better then the crap cheese pizza they sold on off days.

if not then it was probably the chicken sandwich. pretty sure it was one of those microwave deals, tasteless but better then nothing.

i will say though that in elementry school they had the best rolls. thick brown crust with pillow soft bread within, wish i could make rolls like that at home.

I never had a cafeteria until high school.

Although in elementary school we would have McDonalds day once a month and a hot dog day. You had to pay for it though. We'd get order sheets to bring home to our parents and they'd fill it out, then we'd bring it back in with a cheque or cash.

Pizza day was nice. I'd ask for a burnt one each time and would receive two pieces for it. Nacho day was also a favorite and everyone seemed to like the rice they always served with them.

Lunch stopped being good around high school though when they started giving us like cheese bread and thats it for our meals lol

Why did you guys get lunches included?

Here I just had to bring a sandwich to school. In High School I could bvuy my own lunch, but that was optional (and apparently, vastly better than you guys were paying for)
