They omitted some important character development and arcs that would have better defined some of the characters, but I understand it's hard to adapt a 7 volume manga into a film that's around 2 hours. Also, I'm pretty tired of the pandering that involves young, cute, but fragile girls, and her being handicapped(deaf), bullied, abused, apologetic despite that as well as ~~suicidal~~.
