Bout to Lo/Hi pass everything and search for resonant peaks on the track I sent yall. I've taken some reverb out the vocals and added a bit to the bass drum to help soak the deep end while trimming the boominess. I re-recorded the guitar but I think there's a very minor buzz in it that I don't like... Might borrow a different guitar and record it again, we'll see.

That's what I've got so far. I tweaked a lot, need to go back and cut out some of the emptiness but I wanted to start mixing more and see how it fit together before I decided to re-record guitar or vocals. Everything else is midi so they're just a matter of EQ and twiddling.

I think I need a way to push things further back in the mix, it's starting to sound too muddy... But I've also been mixing for 3 hours and my ears turn to mush after that lol...

I think I have my x and y figured out, but I need to establish more depth in the mix through reverb and tambor(light/dark sounds)

Something is up with the second verse as well, it's just plain louder than the first and really shouldn't be after having the same compression on both... I can fix that with automation but knowing the cause would help more... Because the following chorus isn't too quiet.

I'm going to try putting a little reverb on the claps and/or hi hat and push it back in the mix some, everything is so dry and up front aside from the kick and the vocals. I guess the synth has some reverb as well which helps push it back...

Sat down to record something tonight... and ended up writing an entirely new song because I liked the synth sound I picked out lol. I'll post it once I have something passable. These AM labours mane...

Depends on what you want to do. I've been playing with bands forever and the last 5 years been performing professional gigs solo, so a lot of production is new to me as well hehe

What kind of music are you looking to do, or are you looking to produce other people?
