Recently bought a laptop, and an elgato hd60 s. Wanted to get set up to record videos again.

Downloaded the software/drivers. Updated the software and computer. Set everything up, and... No signal detected. Unplugging it from the USB slot and plugging it back in sometimes changes that.

Now, I have a picture on screen, but no sound from either the tv, or the computer. There's also no timer on the bottom, and it won't actually record anything most of the time.

I've managed to record like 4 videos over 2 weeks, some with sound and some without, and only 1 turned out decent quality(no sound though, but good picture/video quality).

I've watched lots of videos on how to fix it, and thought I had it just now by disabling and re-enabling the driver. That fixed the sound for just a moment, then it cut off again. I'm at a loss, idk if it's me, the computer, or the capture card. >_<
