Their job is to inform you about their CDC studies stats and what they tell people about their findings.

CDC.WHO.city Authorities are not forcing this to anybody.

Wearing masks will be a forever thing, I don't see people just never wearing one

you will always need one just in case.

Masks won't be gone and unnecessary until enough people get vaccinated that we reach herd immunity. Considering that a significant portion of the country is refusing to get vaccinated because they believe the psychotic ramblings of a giant oompa loompa over facts and science, that outcome seems unlikely.

I can't blame NYC though, not even half of the US is fully vaccinated, and the rate seems to be going up by like .1% if that a day. Doesn't look too good, imo. Especially with that Delta variant going around.

Just looked, and barely more than half of NYC is even vaccinated.

I live in NYC, where 90%+ of people are wearing masks on the subway. It's maybe 50/50 in stores, too.

So just to recap... we've got people in this topic suggesting that if you live in a big city you should always wear a mask, people saying "wearing masks will be a forever thing, I don't see people just never wearing one, you will always need one just in case", people suggesting we will lockdown by October, people suggesting that because of variants we need masks (even though CDC has not issued new guidelines)... and yet I'm the uneducated one here... right...
