Maybe I'll check it out. Dropped the anime last year after it was mediocre animation and boring story in perhaps the longest OP arc -- awful. Any other well-animated fights in between last June and now?

Surprised you did, since Wano's animation has been absolutely amazing (well, from the parts I've seen, since I'm mostly reading the manga). As for great fights (idk if the first two aired after last june, but still)

Sanji vs Page One
Zoro vs Killer
Kaido vs Big Mom
Oden vs Whitebeard
Roger Pirates vs Whitebeard Pirates
Oden vs Kaido
Worst Generation captains vs one of Kaido's ships (it's a short scene, but still)

The entire Wano arc is very well animated. It's the same animation team that did Dragon Ball Super's tournament arc.

Also I assume you're referring to Dressrosa? Zou and WCI arcs are also much more improved

Video seems to be gone but I've been blown away by the overall production value of every episode since Wano started.

I get that it's the biggest anime in japan and they clearly have the budget, but to pump out stuff at this level week on week is just insane.

Ah, I thought that aired earlier. Though tbh as awesome as it looked, I have issues with that fight as an adaptation due to how Luffy didn't get immediately wrecked when Kaido went serious. Plus that part where he and Dragon Kaido clash without touching is a straight up plot hole now due to some recent events

I think I stopped around the time Luffy was still imprisoned (he hadn't freed that fish dude yet) and it was generally boring as hell. I think there was one fight against the lion guy, but in general, the fights were too drawn-out or had too much fluff to enjoy.
