JigsawTDC 07/10/21 11:09:34 PM #3:	I went on a hiking trip with some friends today and we listened to this album on the way there and back, and i didnt dislike it, but I feel like most of the songs read as Modest Mouse imitating the sounds of other bands. For example, I cant remember which song, but it sounded so straight up like an Animal Collective song that I was like is Panda Bear featured on this? Another song sounded heavily Real Estate/Beach Fossils/that sound inspired. Almost every song I felt like I could see them wearing their influences on their sleeve. Modest Mouse is one of those bands that is good enough and has their own unique sound, so they dont need to imp other styles. Again, not a bad album, but Modest Mouse can do better.
