FF7R does but there's four boss fights in one of the final chapters which are annoying. I'm still annoyed by them.

First one is the easiest one and is pretty straight forward. He doesn't have any deadly blows. You can also run around and save after fighting him, so I didn't count it. Then comes a boss named Rufus who has a bunch of interrupts and is speedy. He killed me twice before I learned his pattern. Then there's a cut scene and you have to fight the next boss, who is easy but you're using Aerith and Barret so you have to spam magic + ethers. I didn't die in this fight but he does have like 3 attacks that will one shot you. Then comes an annoying as fuck boss fight where you have to kill a giant tank while driving around on a motorcycle. This boss killed me twice as well before I completely destroyed him on the third try. Overall I spent like two hours fighting all four of these bosses and didn't get any sleep until 6:30 in the morning.

Its even worse if you have an old disc that sometimes freezes

Yeah, that's called raising the stakes for the player. The further you progress the more detrimental any mistakes will become which naturally progressively heightens tension as well, I think more games should experiment with the idea and the element of surprise in general

On the third try I equipped Sleep and used it on Rufus at the start of the game. That's the only reason I didn't die because it worked (only once though) so I could kill his pet doggo. After that I just used guard + Braver when he used reload.

Right now I'm working on the giant-Kingdom Hearts-looking mecha Whisper boss in the other dimension, but I had to pause and charge my controller for a bit.

IIRC unless it's different on hard mode you can use counterstance on the dog's attacks, then once it's down to Rufus just run in circles and braver when he reloads after he unloads with his guns. It doesn't quite trivialize the fight, but it makes it significantly easier.
