wolf can wall jump! i do it all the time. that being said, wall jumps online are like impossible

GGs. Yeah I tried to wall jump on two different occasions but it didn't happen. I assume you just press jump while pushing against the wall? I don't play a single character that has a wall jump lol.

You push towards the wall and then away within a certain window. Im not sure about the details for every game but thats the general idea.

interesting, so it's kind of like Metroid Zero Mission, the only other Metroid game I've ever played that isn't the NES one

Yup. The reason I say towards and away is for a few reasons:
No clue if jump button ever really worked for wall jumps but obviously footstooling being introduced meant jump could trigger that action;
Melee is towards and away, Im quite certain, because if you ride the wall in Melee then it can be hard to do a wall jump unlike say Ultimate where it seems easier and the guide above says you can do it that way;
Some characters have wall cling like Diddy and that means holding towards the stage will result in cling so you have to push away to jump immediately

some characters like donkey kong don't have wall jumps even though he's a gorilla >_>

I think its a way to avoid getting over my plateau. I can reach a certain level of competency, but then getting over that hump is excruciating, if I can do it at all. Also ggs, forgot to say it.

have you thought about going out of your comfort zone and trying to excel with a single character? nothing wrong with playing multiple characters though, that's what davyheinz does and he's great at this game. regardless of what characters you use, your good fundamentals will transfer.
