Probably a few more for me. Kazuya clearly doesnt excel at fighting zoners but its funny how he has laser eyes with pretty good reach and even funnier that it tends to go right over most characters.

I don't blame you man. I don't think I'll ever give up Melee entirely; I don't have a set up that can do Slippi atm, but my friend and I have been playing the game on and off for 20 years. I recently started practicing again in order to beat him as he destroyed me last time, and also tournaments are going to be starting again soon so I want to be ready. But I still really like Ultimate, and the venue I go to tends to host both games at once. Idk how I'm going to juggle the two games but I want to. If I can be decent at both that's good enough for me.

IMO, the two "most fun" to play DLC are probably joker and hero/sephiroth. Pyra/myrtha are fun too, but play like more traditional characters in smash.

The best in regards to tier list (again, imo) DLC are probably joker, Seph, pyra/mythra and min min, in no particular order (though joker is the best).

@Xatrion No worries dude. It ain't off-topic if it's about Smash! Either way that's hard to answer because it depends on what you like about the game.

If you want characters who feel unique and different, then Steve, Banjo, and Min-Min are must-haves. Maybe Hero to some extent because of his down-B magic roulette. Pyra is fun as well because of the switching mechanic too, but the two characters still feel kinda similar.

If you want characters who are competitively viable, ehhh. Ultimate is surprisingly balanced, and you can be good with the majority of the roster if you practice. But Min-Min specifcially has a reputation for being really good in competitive, and Kazuya is looking promising despite just releasing shortly ago.

If I had to rank the characters in terms of fun-ness? I guess I'd say Steve and Hero are the most fun to play.

One thing to consider is also the content that comes with the character. Terry and Kazuya both come with a ludicrous number of music tracks that you use on their stages. Like, most characters come with maybe around 10 tracks, but those guys get like 30-40.
In terms of the best stages that come with them? I like Joker's stage Mementos the best out of the DLC. Banjo & Kazooie's stage is a lot of fun to play on, if you're not concerned with tournament legality. Pyra's stage is pretty-looking and the mech-guy you're fighting on comments on things happening in the battle, which is fun.

Otherwise if none of that matters, just buy whichever characters you really like. (Unless you like Byleth. Then don't buy them lol).

Imo all of the DLC characters are worth a look at in some capacity but in terms of enjoyment Id go Joker and Kazuya for top 2. Pyra and Mythra are like two characters in one so lotta value there money-wise. Steve is kinda nutty and hes got that this is so stupid and I love it factor to him. I have a harder time recommending characters like Min-Min, banjo, but if youre more into the keep away style of gameplay the former two work wonders. Hero has a heavy RNG element to him that I dont like personally but some people love it. Sephiroth has a long ass sword. Terry while cool, has kinda been eclipsed by Kazuya imo. Byleth exists.

That dude literally has the argument for the biggest moveset out of all of nick's cast. That's like saying "Oh Mario is only in Smash for Brand awareness, he's not a fighter!!! All he does is jump!"

Tbh, Nick is definitely the best one to do this for.
