Idk what it was, but the first season brought me in and kept me watching. Every season after that suffered a decline, and there was a significant drop-off after S1. I could never tell what it was, but it was noticeable. Then I read about the stuff with Darabont. I really wonder if the show's quality would have continued with him instead of Mazza.
I also remember watching the premiere and seeing the first trailer of Mass Effect 3. --- "And no I'm not signing your twitter after this type of attitude so don't ask..." - IIINCORRUPTIBLE ... Copied to Clipboard!

Eh. TWD was never really great but it had a good run for a few seasons. I wouldn't say the first season was all that great either. Not that it was bad, it was good and fun.
I think the best part about the show was the community, or just watching it with people you know, and not actually the show itself. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Every episode felt like a movie. I couldn't wait to get to the next episode.

It had a GREAT team behind it, especially Nicotero and Darabont. But around S2 they(iirc) shifted the budget towards Mad Men which gave us the whole boring as shit farm stuff, where nothing super important happened until the barn scene.
