It happened just after 10 p.m. on Sunday night at a home on Crestview Drive off of Airline Road. A visiting family member's child was attacked by the host's dog. The dog is said to be a Pitbull mix and is now in quarantine at Animal Care Services. It was my dog(a pit)'s first time back from an attack from another dog(a lab). He is just so friendly, he wanted to say high and I didn't realize there was a stray loose. Stray gets in my pupper's face and mauled him. My dad managed to pin the dog to the ground while I pulled him in. He's...sorta disfigured now. And terrified of other animals. My sister brought her new kitten to the house so we could watch him for awhile, and he freaked out when she tried to play with him and snapped at her, way too hard. We had to put her to sleep that day, she wasn't going to survive the night. All this over a month too. All while I was visiting family. To just make up stuff that Pitts are these violent animals is a simple lie. They are fiercely loyal, yes, but just going into different topics about these awful tragedies and saying 'oh, Pitts are wild, dangerous animals that have a super secret 'kill' gene that..." is just nonsense and fearmongering. My Pitty would have never hurt a fly. He was scared of my grandma's Chihuahua and would roll on his back to show she's dominant.
