The lovable German Shepherd named River voiced and modeled a recurring dog non-player character in the "Fallout" series known as Dogmeat. Like you have a whole world of weird mutated creatures out there and you give me a basic ass dog. NV was a bit better in that Rex is a Cyber-Dog (not that it would matter since he competes with his spot with ED), but still.
