No, being a virgin does NOT affect your personal value as a human. However, HERE, on this particular board, I'm not willing to give any fuck-free dudes a chance because I see the kidna shit they talk about and it makes me sick to my balls.

Incels are a toxic subset of virginal people. Others are simply shy around everyone, regardless of gender. And others still don't distance themselves at all and have active social lives, but just aren't very assertive and therefore never seal the deal sexually.

The incel cult are the bad apples of virgins. Domestic abusers and the like are the bad apples of non-virginal people. There are bad people in most every group, and they're just as likely to have bad opinions as each other.

Exploitative of people who've reached the point where they're willing to have sex for money, or exploitative of people who've reached the point where they're willing to pay money for sex? Yeah. I will admit I can give virgins a hard time, but that is when they don't try to do things to better themselves. One of my best friends is a 34yo virgin.

Long story short, but I've dealt with depression and low-self esteem for most of my life, but about 7 years ago, I found myself in a relationship with someone who I actually fell in love with. It lasted for nearly a year before I found out that she was only in it for sex. There were a lot of red flags, but I was too oblivious to see them.
Wasn't until there was a death in my family that I finally realized the relationship was more one-way. I kept saying no, and she would continue to pressure me. Sometimes, more than just pressure.

So yea... turned me off of trying to put myself back out there

I disagree about the prostitute part. Not saying it makes one a loser, but most virgins aren't upset they are a virgin per se, they are upset that they don't have companionship and don't want to be alone forever. Learning how to date is the only viable option for that. I also know a couple people who lost their virginity to a prostitute and later had sex the traditional way, and they regretted it.

For me it's what it represents. If I can get a relationship, I know sex would be a possibility. If I can get sex, a relationship would be a possibility. However, between the two, only one is treated as some grand life achievement. It's treated as something easier to get than a relationship, and if one can get that far it excluded them from a specific label that others look down on and make them feel ashamed about.

It's mostly the fact that if either of those occured, it means someone likes me. That a person is willing to be with me. That I have value to them and can they actually want that.

It's actually a pretty complicated matter, and varies person to person, but in the end it all can be boiled down into the "sex" subject which can be understood by everyone.

I understand, but this topic was asking about virginity... sexual intercourse... Dating and relationships are different topics. I am not trying to be obtuse. I understand that virgins want to feel loved and value the companionship more than the sex... but the sex itself I think, is easy to get.
