Do you get all of the upgrades for that power when you unlock them? If so I don't see the problem. The structure of the game necessitates gating your powers so you don't sequence break.

I'm pretty sure this is standard for metroidvania style games with a NG+ mode.

glad i beat it had alot of fun the backtracking is such a bore and lazy game making no replayability tho

True.

It should be a choice of what you keep. If you have upgrades too early that let you skip full areas or something, that actually could be more interesting to immediately playthrough again.

Guessing lightsaber throw is locked behind the final lightsaber upgrade in the story? Idk. It should keep every upgrade purchased, just lock them until prerequisites are met. Like your area force pull and stasis and whatnot you won't have to buy again. Just get the base abilities through story.

It does a lot well but certainly has some flaws, the biggest being the horrid 3D map and lack of fast travel imo. But usually all 3D maps suck and developers should stop using them.
