-Just hanging out outside in the evenings means you are going to get destroyed by mosquitos. Like bugspray is pretty much a requirement every single day if you're going to be out in the evening.
-During the day its too hot and humid to do anything.
-Random and frequent thunderstorms
-Trumpers everywhere
-bible thumpers everywhere
-Roads are all garbage, potholes everywhere
-Drivers are idiots and often driving around uninsured - which is why the south has some of the highest car insurance rates
-racism, sexism, homophobia is common. Its not always overt, usually subtle, but most definitely prevelant.
-large residential subdivisions being built all along small roads which leads to significant traffic and congestion - just horrible city planning altogether. And they will never increase spending to fix the roads
-anti-intellectuals, anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers - under 35% vaccination rate in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama

TC is spot on and I live in Missouri. The bigger Kansas City is the only one that doesnt conform to the rest of the nearby cities.

Mosquitoes are way worse up north OP

theres heatwaves happening up North which are worse because theres no AC

all the other stuff you mentioned is universal to the US lol

I lived in New Jersey for 2 years, I never had a problem with mosquitos.

ive never been there, but when I was in the upper Midwest, the mosquitoes were so bad that when you drove at night you were basically driving through swarms of them at night like driving through fog and your car would basically be glazed with mosquito guts

I've lived all across Tennessee and parts of Virginia

Same here. But Im gonna guess you and I have traveled and actually seen the south, whereas these people have seen a couple places and lump everything together. Its one of my favorite types of topics here.

I been down here for 15 years and tc is spot on. I've been up north just last week. Idk man, the mosquitoes are much more aggressive up north and the flies are bigger also there are big black ants that love to climb the many wonderful trees that hog the whole neighborhood. They fall on you.

But yeah the south sucks. I'm leaving you behind tc.
