It's honestly a pretty fun game in moderation. Sure, there's a lot of kids on it, but it's not like you have to listen to them while you play.

Its instant shot to fame and kids taking over it really turned people. But the game is really fun right now

All Battle Royales are trash. Their combat is shit and they all have excessively long periods of downtime where you're either looking for something to do or just picking up boring loot

Where'd you get this from? survival arenas were constantly one-upping each other, and Fortnite was the one that ended up at the top.

For me personally, I liked Fortnite because I liked seeing a fun, free, colorful shooter going hugely mainstream.

But then it started doing collaborations with literally everything on the planet, and it started to get annoying to me because the one thing I could've criticized about it was was that it didn't have much of a strong identity of its own. Leaning into "Heres X character from pop culture" as a crutch now has really made that problem even worse IMO.

I play it sometimes with people. I think the whole building mechanic is dumb btw but im old shcool and just want to shoot stuff lol.

I have 2 major problems with the game.

The first is gun damage. There are times when I'll get a hitmarker, but no damage will be dealt. Case in point, I was practicing before the round actually started and I used a pistol on an afk player. Of the 13 shots I fired, all registered, but only 3 dealt damage. Obviously I can't kill anyone because its the warm-up before the actual game, but still. At the very least all the shots should have dealt damage.

My other issue is the skins. In order to get any of the skins, I have to pay money for them. And it isn't 2-3 dollars. I could live with that. Even 5 dollars I could live with. It's costing at least 12-13 bucks per skin, and the store if your buying the so called "v-bucks", is set in increments where your forced to buy more than you'll actually use. The skin could cost 1100 and 1 stack of "v-bucks" is 1000.

Minor inconveniences but they get frustrating in succession.

Being one of the most popular games in the world (that's also a F2P multiplayer game) tends to attract a lot of hate.
