Not talking about normal virgins, just incels. If you're in an incel position, you're desperate, and basically going to be sexually attracted to any woman who gives you attention. But since he's just a friend, none of these women will actually be interested back. Which would just worsen his bitterness about things.

Much easier to just avoid friendships where the incel runs the risk of becoming toxic.
