Would anyone be interested in a 2 hour stream where I teach the absolute basics to the 3D modeling software Blender?
I don't expect followers and such from it, but just a way that if any of you are interested in learning I could introduce you to it. If so I may do that in a few weeks.

I have a bunch of 3D modelling software on my computer that I haven't touched. Since I am an indie game dev I'm definitely interested in learning.

I have a course i downloaded to learn blender. Its such a neat program. 3D has always fascinated me.

sure as hell would be a lot easier to learn than Maya. Oh dear lord I don't ever want to experience that program again. But not right now though. Now is bed time :) ....assuming I can sleep.

I was under the impression both programs are equally as difficult. It would not make sense for blender to be easier to learn than maya considering blender is used just as much as maya, would just mean more folks would use blender.

I'd be interested but timing would be an issue

Blender is perfect for that! This stream will cover primitive modeling and basic shape manipulation. Purely intro stuff to get people started, as that's usually where people struggle most.

I've used all the big ones and personally find blender's UI to be the easiest and 3DSMax's to be annoying. I liked Maya more than 3DSMax, but I see the criticism for it.

if u can make it fun and easy! i learned blender very slowly by tutorials on youtube. it was very hard at times esp if someone used hot keys i did not have.

It can be very daunting! But I used to teach kids for years, so I'm confident I can help those interested get started and not be overwhelmed or bored.
