GhettoFlip 06/30/21 5:44:46 PM #1:	From his early pioneering work with The Birthday Party to his recent string of masterpieces, he's one of the very few artists who's never had a major dud (ok maybe one) and whose creative peak has lasted 40+ years. No period of his overshadows the others because he's been so consistently good. Heck, some people feel he's only gotten better with age. When people debate his albums, it isn't between 2-3 albums, it's more like 10. He has the highest rated albums of 2016 and 2019 (also second highest of the decade) https://www.metacritic.com/feature/best-albums-of-2016 https://www.metacritic.com/feature/best-albums-released-in-2019 Most other great artists who have 20+ year careers have relatively short classic period with a handful of excellent records then followed by years, if not decades, of poor/mediocre/forgettable albums, then may make an occasional "comeback" album once in a while. Tom Waits is another one. Almost 40 years, 17 albums, not a single bad one.
